Sample joinery specifications
As an indication of the high standards we demand from our suppliers, please review the following minimum requirements for our joinery fixtures:
- Drawer guides undergo tests for 100,000 openings.
- Cupboard door hinges are tested for 200,000 openings, equal to opening a cupboard door 8 times a day everyday for 68 years.
- Glass panes are tempered safety glass, 5 times more resistant than normal glass.
- Gloss lacquer is 5 layer process, not standard 2-pack.
- Kitchen plinths are height adjustable in aluminum, not standard laminate.
- Veneer and lacquer doors are wrapped all round, not just faced then lined internally with laminate.
- All drawers have Blum soft-close mechanisms fitted.
- Sink base units are high-grade aluminium to protect against detergents and cleaning materials.
- Kitchen doors are 20-26 mm thick vs standard 16mm.
- Hanging rails in robes are genuine timber-finished melamine coated or aluminium.
- Robe shelves are 35mm thick vs standard 18mm.
- Robe doors are 25-35 mm thick vs standard 16mm.
Sustainable design
We understand the importance of sustainable design and are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of PANORAMA* by using
wooden fibre panels with low-emission melamine
resin coatings; certified lead-free paints; non-toxic
lacquers; glue-free recycled packaging; and plantation
grown oak, cherry, and walnut veneers (no exotic
timbers are used).
